A little about On Tap Network:
On Tap Network was formed in early 2009. It’s a networking organization based in Chester County that allows business owners and entrepreneurs to showcase their business and talents in a manner that’s a little different than other networking platforms. With social media on the rise, On Tap brings viral and face-to-face networking together to give their members and attendees a one-two punch in marketing their business.

I am super excited to attend this event! I believe it is important to network with people in Chester County b/c the cheapest marketing is by “word of mouth” . People like to talk, so I want to get myself out there…put my name and face behind my company, Chesapeake Ribbons. The more people hear about me & my business, the more likely they will google me, refer me to others, etc…Networking gives me a chance to sell, promote, and put a face behind Chesapeake Ribbons.
I have lived in Chester County since 1975, before the Great Valley Corp Center, before a lot of the infrastructure that many see on a daily basis, I remember as corn fields. Chester County has changed so much since then. The computer era has also changed Chester County and the world. There is a lot less personal contact and more emails and texting used to communicate. Networking has become not only a necessary marketing tool, but it gets us back in front of other people. There is no better way to present yourself to prospective new business contacts than networking, like you get at the OnTap Networking Events. Isolation leads to complacancy and On Tap is the cure. Be there, be seen, make contact, and meet new friends!
Networking is all about opportunity. And opportunities start at home. Near by. We need to rely on our local contacts to move through the world. As a resident of Chester County, I recognize the importance of making use of my local network. The more we help each other out, the more we can all advance.

As a recent college graduate trying to get my video production business up and running networking is essential. Having been born and raised in Chester County I know the amazing wealth of creative and intelligent business owners and operators this community has to offer. While I have not had the chance to attend an On Tap Network event before I am very much looking forward to Oct. 7th and the chance it will provide me to not only get my name and services on people’s minds but also the opportunity to learn about and potentially become involved with the exciting businesses that are being heralded by some of Chester County’s finest!
